EquiJurists is the chamber of Advocate Rajat Kadyan, an advocate practising criminal law at Gurugram. The work is concentrated in cyber crime defence, bail applications and trials — the matters where a delay of a day can change the outcome.

Where the practice appears

  • District & Sessions Court, Gurugram, and the Magistrate courts attached to it
  • Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh, for bail, quashing and revisions
  • Courts across Delhi NCR, including Delhi's district courts and the Delhi High Court
  • Police stations and the Cyber Crime unit at Gurugram, at the investigation stage

How the chamber works

You speak to the advocate

Briefing, strategy and court appearances are handled personally. Clerks assist with filing and listing, but the person deciding what to argue is the person you called.

Nothing is promised that cannot be delivered

Criminal matters have real risk. If a case is weak, you will be told so at the first meeting, along with what can realistically be achieved and what it will take.

Fees are settled before the work starts

You receive the fee for each stage in writing — bail application, trial, appeal — so there is no ambiguity later.

The law has changed. The practice keeps up.

Since 1 July 2024, offences are charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, procedure follows the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and evidence — including electronic evidence — is governed by the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. Older FIRs continue under the IPC and CrPC. Cases now routinely span both regimes, and knowing which provision applies to your FIR is the first thing we check.

Most people who call us have never dealt with a police station before. Explaining the process is part of the job, not an extra.

Talk to the chamber

Calls are answered outside court hours, including at night, because arrests do not keep office timings. +91 7015072484 or send the details of your matter.

If someone has been picked up, the first six hours matter more than the next six months.
